The position in context

The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a key role in supporting the sales process by acting as a technical and solution-oriented partner to both customers and the sales team. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and the company’s products or services, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with customer requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical and solution expert during the pre-sales phase
  • Support sales team in customer meetings, presentations, and workshops
  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into tailored solutions
  • Prepare solution concepts, technical proposals, and cost estimates
  • Participate in RFP/RFQ processes and prepare related documentation
  • Deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concept presentations
  • Collaborate closely with product management, development, and delivery teams
  • Identify risks, limitations, and dependencies of proposed solutions
  • Support contract negotiations from a technical and solution perspective
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, technologies, and market trends
  • Obtains and brings customer expectations and feedback to product management

Job Requirements and Qualification

  • Experience in a Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, or Technical Sales role
  • Strong understanding of IT/software solutions and system architectures
  • Ability to understand customer business needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with enterprise customers is an advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Good knowledge of telecommunications and cybersecurity
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
